In the beginning, lets talk about the games on Gameboy and Nintendo platforms.
These games were developed by Game Freak.

These games were the role playing games (RPG) and have been released in a series. The game begins with you selecting your character name and a brief introduction to the world of pokemon.

As the series progresses, you are allowed to choose your character between a boy and a girl. This allows the girls also to play the series without feeling awkward.

The first series games were having pokemon of generation 1,  the Kanto region Pokemon, and were released on platform: Gameboy Color by Nintendo

These games were: Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue

Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue were released in North America, Europe and Australia. The actual versions released in Japan were Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green..!!! Pokemon Blue was released in Japan as a special additional version.

In these games, the player is allowed to choose a pokemon from Charmender, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. The goal is to capture and train pokemon to win the eight badges, the indigo league and complete the Pokedex.

But, there is a slight problem in these games. Players can not catch all the pokemon. So, how to complete the pokedex? Answer is simple. Player can trade the pokemon from the pokemon centers and complete the pokedex!!!

Take a look at all the pokemon appearing in the series..!!

After Red, Green and Blue, a special edition of game was released. It was Pokemon Yellow.

In this version, the player is given a Pikachu and it will follow everywhere the player went..!! How cool.

The most interesting thing in this version is that, player can really capture all the pokemon. So this was my favorite version at that time..
